TAO Days 2010

Introduction

The Public Research Centre Henri Tudor and the University of Luxembourg are organising the TAO Days 2010 to celebrate the public release of TAO® as Open Source Platform on March 10 and 11 at the Abbaye de Neumünster in Luxembourg City.

TAO® is the french acronym for Testing Assisté par Ordinateur (Computer Based Assessment/Testing). The TAO® platform provides a general and open architecture for computer-assisted test development enabling the creation, the management, and the delivery of electronic assessments.

This event has two important goals for us:

  • To further the understanding and the importance of electronic learning and testing in the future of assessment.
  • To officially launch the TAO® platform through the public release of this “free and open source” platform and create a TAO® open source community;

During TAO Days we hope to further the discussion of electronic learning and assessment by understanding its roots and defining future directions.  To this end, we are organizing a number of plenary discussions that will be followed by smaller workshops and working groups where participants can have hands-on experiences with TAO® as well as discuss future implications for development.

In case you are interested to join this 2 days conference, please register until 9th of March the latest.

We have made a selection of hotels with special TAO Days offers not far from Abbaye de Neumünster.
